Im not sure if this is a bug or not, but I have recently been trying to make a taming library. I have gone to a good number of locations and when I tried to cast mark it says "Thy spell doth not appear to work...". I don't know if its a bug but it's making it very hard to find taming spots. If you would like some examples of unmarkable places there is a book in the library in my house. It tells you how to get to certain animals.
