ConnectUO Wont Open and Client Wont Patch

I really look forward to playing on your server, but I'm having two problems.

1. I downloaded the Mondain's Legacy Client and it will only patch up to 5.0.6a. Will the game work with that patch? If not, how can I get it to 5.0.6c?

2. I downloaded and installed ConnectUO and I clicked the CUODesktop icon. I got the "error report" and the "tell microsoft about this problem" thing. I clicked Dont Send on the microsoft thing and when it closed the error report was gone so I couldn't click OK and go to tools and edit it. Is there a way I can uninstall it and re-install it to make ConnectUO open?

I tried to run the server with Razor and it patched to 5.0.6e before I could cancel it. Will the server work with that?

You will have to start over. Patch to 5.06a then restart the UO patcher... be ready to cancel it quick. I use razor to connect to Whispering Pines.

I believe you can get away with 5.0.6.e but 5.0.6.c would be better.

The ConnectUO download is just a zip file that you unzip to a folder and run the .exe file inside. If you are having trouble, delete the ConnectUO folder and then unzip the zip file again. ConnectUO does require .NET 2.0. If you get an error mentioning this, there is a link to download it for free at the bottom of the ConnectUO Getting Started post.

I still can't get ConnectUO to open. How can I connect with razor?

Detect your UO client file.
Check patch Client encryption.
Do NOT check use OSI Encryption.

UO data directory leave at autodetect.

Server is wpshard.com Port is 2593.

Language is ENU

Do you run 64 bit by chance? I think that is what killed ConnectUO for me. (the netframework stuff is different) I don't have the custom hues though as all the robes in the building are black. Is the hue patch available seperately without using ConnectUO?

Not running 64bit here. The patch is available for download. Use the patch address in the "Step 3a UOGateway" post. But i do not know how you will get it loaded without ConnectUO or UOGateway.

Just to add that I had to do a new install of UO recently (got a new laptop, WOOT!) and didn't stop it in time either and 5.0.6e seems to work for me so far.

But as Ghost has said you should really try to stop it at 5.0.6c as that is more or less the "Plays for Sure™ " client...hehe
