the Character Profile scroll on the paper doll (bottom left)..the one that displays how old your account is....since the upgrade the font contrast has made it difficult to read.....if an adjustment could be made to the font/background color it would be greatly appreciated

It cannot be changed because its rendering is built into the client. Every other gump was changed but that one is a casualty of having a more-readable journal.

Can the background color of the gump be changed to allow better contrast?

It uses the same background as the journal. As the journal is far more useful and can now be read by people with vision issues, the character info scroll has to remain in all its unreadable glory.
