Accidently placed Stairs where my chest is, now my chest is gone it had a ton of stuff in it including all of the stuff I have been stashing to give to my mom for when she joins the game. Is there anyway I can get this back or is it gone forever?

The chest was secured. The wandering fairy I had secure next to it came back
