Im having toruble with the patch. I installed the game followed the rules that were told, ticked the Read only Box on the patch file and put it into the Patch folder in the UO directory and then ran the UOPatch.exe and during the patching I got an error stating:

Any Ideas on how to fix it?

After the update the Play button isn't lit up so the only button it lets me press is Cancel. I then go onto ConnectUO and click play on WP and it then asks for an user name and I try to make a new one as I forgot my other account info and it doesn't let me connect to the server.

Pepo, what you describe in you first post is exactly what is supposed to happen. The read only 506d prevents any more patches from installing (as it should).

Quit the patcher and start ConnectUO2

Check the CUO2 options to make sure they are correct. Go into Options > Settings (on the left hand side of the application). You will have 2 settings options here, ConnectUO and Ultima Online.

In the ConnectUO setting, go to the Patch Directory shown, and delete anything there (dont want to be fighting old, possibly corrupt patch data).

In the Ultima Online setting, make sure that the Client Path is correct and is pointing to your ML installation. Make sure "Launch Razor with client" and "Patch Client Encryption" are checked.

Find Whispering Pines in the CUO2 shard list and try to log into us. (You may have to allow CUO2 access through the Windows 7 firewall). What happens at this point?

I did what you said and it launched into the login screen, though I have forgot my login info I will try later once I retrieve it and on the login page it says 'UO Version 5.0.0a (Patch 3)' That correct?

When patched to the correct level, the login screen will say:

UO Version 5.0.6c (Patch 33)
