Hi,

When I logged on today my normal in-game layout was gone, only the main game window was open.

I can put all my spells back and things, but when I go to the skills tab on my paperdoll it is completely blank. This means I can’t add any skills to my screen or even use any skills. Has anyone seen this before?

Mark, haven't heard of this specific occurance, but here are some things to try.

Reboot computer, then try to log in again.

See if your client has updated (patched) to a different version.

Reinstall UO client and Razor and start fresh.

Here's something you can try quickly before having to reinstall & re-patch.

Go to the folder where client.exe is installed -- I changed mine so I don't remember what it was originally.

From that folder, open the Desktop folder.

Open the folder named the same as your WP login. There may be only one folder here anyway.

Open the Whispering Pine folder (yes, there's no S)

There you should see a folder named after your character. Delete that folder.


Try starting the game again and see if it's fixed. At worst you'll have to re-do any macros you made within the game.

I've come across stuff like this happening when I'm using a poorly written easyuo script. If you are using easyuo, close easyuo, close uo, razor, connectuo and anything else that's uo specific. It usually corrects itself once you log back in (you might have to rearrange your layout, but your skills are 'fixed'). Sometimes I have to reboot, but usually not.

Good luck, let us know how things turned out and what steps you took to fix things. That way we don't have to reinvent the wheel if it happens again to someone

Thanks very much for the replies, unfortunatly I didnt see them before doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of UO.

Unfortunatly that still didnt do the trick, so I uninstalled again but this time deleted the EA games folder as well which still had some files left behind after the uninstall.

This managed to sort everything out and I am now up and running again!
