Trying to log in and it tells me "There is some problem communicating with Origin. Please restart Ultima online and try again" not sure why i am geting this

LadyOfTheNight, sorry to hear that you are having issues.

Please provide more details as to how you are trying to log in. Have you followed the steps in the "Getting Started" section? Are you using Razor? ConnectUO? And what version is your UO client at? We use 5.0.6c. If you are patched much beyond that, you will have login issues.

5.0.6B and I am useing UOgateway

ok, using UOGateway. Have you double checked the settings as listed in the Getting Started forum post "Step 3a - Get and configure UOGateway"?

If you have and that isn't working, I suggest you try ConnectUO instead of UOGateway as it is a bit newer and is working for the majority of Whispering Pines citizens.

Ok i tryed it with Uo conn and still got the same message when trying to log in "There is some problem communicating with Origin. Please restart Ultima online and try again" not sure what i am doing wrong

Hi there - sorry its giving you trouble! Things I remember doing that were important in getting me in:

patching the client close to or right at 5.06c, but not beyond
downloading the latest version of razor per Step 2
downloading Connect UO from the link on Step 3
configured Connect UO exactly per all the pics (esp. importation to set the browser as default,
make sure all the client/razor settings are correct and razor starts with the client, and all the
AddLocalServerDialog settings are correct, including patch client encryption being checked)

For me, since I use Windows Vista, the added comments about letting connectuo through
the firewall were also necessary.

I've only had one other quirk since then which is I installed a program, Skype I believe, which used an important port UO needs. I think I either had to uninstall or reconfigure Skype to not use its default port.
But if you go back through the steps and doublecheck the settings, and let connuo through the firewall I'm confident you will be in soon!

LadyOfTheNight, what operating system are you using? XP or Vista. If Vista, you must allow ConnectUO access through the Vista firewall.

Should point this out.. If you already have an account at WP and you try to log in as different account that exact message comes up even though I changed the login.conf file to wp address...

Maybe you accidentally already made an account and now trying to make a different account from the same IP? Not sure if its the IP or something to do with Razor profiles..
