Hello, I had an account on whispering pines awhile back, but my computer crashed. I recently decided I want to start up again on my new computer, but will my account have been deleted because it has been inactive? I'm not sure I know my log in either...if I have forgotten it is there anyway to retrieve it? thanks

Mindina, please pm me with your old account name and I will see if the account is still active. If it has been over 45 days, and you did not request that we keep your account, there is a good chance it was wiped.

*EDIT* I looked through the April shard deletion list and there was a Mindina account that had not been active since Feb 7th and it was wiped at the end of April. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news You are, however, welcome to log in and start a new character

For everyone reading this, if there is a chance that you will be taking a break from the Pines, please let staff know (either in-game, via PMs in the forums, or if need be via a forum post) and we can mark your account so that it does not get wiped.

yea, that would be me. It's ok I hardly remember what I had so I don't miss it. lmao I'll just create another one.

OK I reinstalled, followed all the steps. At the very end I went to connectUO and pressed play. but it auto continued patching past 5.0.6 is this ok or am I going to have to restart. once done patching I pressed play again and I wrote in a new user/pass but it never finished verifying. Any idea whats up?

Mindina, I see someone logging in which I think might be you, but is it showing as an encrypted client. So either you have patched too far, or your settings in ConnectUO are not correct.

You do not want to patch past 5.0.6c. You'll have to uninstall UO and reinstall it I'm afraid. Before you do, look in the "New Player Guides" at the top post called "Patching to 5.0.6.c". There is a link in that thread to a dummy 5.0.6d file that you set up and it prevents UO from patching past 5.0.6c.

ok, before i read your reply i went under servers and deleted the whisperingpines20% folder, it now is sayin its the wrong account credentials...do i still need to reinstall

I think it is saying that because you are patched too high. If you are beyond 5.0.6c, yes, you will want to uninstall UO and re-install.
