Hi,

I am new to the shard "Rigan" and just started here late last night, and I am having some problems with my COUD and was wondering if perhaps someone could assist me with it.

For some reason I have to keep extracting the exe file in order to get the CUOD thingy to load, then of course having to keep replacing all the shard info as well as razor as stated in the instructions on "How to", that which I might add are very informative and helpful by the way.

Is there a way to enter the server via Razor?

Or, is there something that I am forgetting to do? (lol)

Hi Rigan, I was having the same problem but didn't realize that once you open cuo it stays open in the item tray so if you use the short cut it won't open again. Don't know if this is your problem but maybe.

Thanks Dragnar, that sounds about right. Rigan, you will want to get CUO working, as it allows you to get the shard patches that razor does not.

Okay lets see if I can explain it a bit more in detail.

I try to open CUOD with the desktop link and it crashes and completely logs itself off; like a gump screen will come up saying that CUOD has encountered blah blah blah and must close would you like to send an error message?, it doesn't give me the option to keep it open, it just shuts itself off totally.

If I go to the Exe file and click the exe link in rar it will then load but however, I have to redo the entire process all over again (adding the host ect) *sighs* and where as I am learning that this shard is well worth the trouble, it is a tad bit annoying.

Okay I went back and tried it again and I believe I may have figured it out. "Logs on to test" . Yaaay.. okay, I know what I did wrong; when you go to your extractor they offer 3 ways to extract I chose the first two and I couldn't get it to work..

This time I chose the one that says "ConnectUODesktop_Latest" and followed your directions to the T and it worked. When I hit the link for Whispering Pines Play it auto loaded the patch files.

This just goes to show you how long it has been since I played UO last.. HaHa
