Darkwolf, I apologize that you are having difficulties logging in to Whispering Pines.

What client version are you using? Have you followed the instructions in the "Getting Started" area of the forums? Especially the part about disabling Client Encryption (a setting found in Razor, ConnectUO, or UOGateway).

Also see the thread "Creating Your First Character" in the New Player Guides section.

...I can't seem to connect to Whispering Pines. At first I thought it was my gimpy ISP and the technical geniuses running it. Anyone else having trouble? There was a brief squall here recently. Anyone?... Anyone?...

I was on Rowan's character playing DoND when I lost connection. At first I thought it was on my end but after numerous unsuccessful attempts to log in I realized it must be the shard.I do so hope it wasn't my playing the game that caused this,if it did I am so sorry.

The shard is back online. Looking into the cause.

For unknown reasons, the shard software is occasionally turning itself off with no crash log. This is making it difficult to troubleshoot, but it is being investigated. In an effort to help, and because save times are so short, I have increased the shard saves from every 30 minutes to every 15 minutes. If it does turn itself off, you should now only loose the last 15 minutes max.
