How to start? Make account?

hey, I'm new to the shard..and I'm confused. OK, so I have gone through all the steps, but I don't get it. Is my login the same as this site? or do I get it some other way?

I tried to use this login and pass but it says I cannot connect and to try later....why is this?

Mindina, sorry to hear you are having problems.

Where in the setup steps are you? If you have are up to step 3, and have ConnectUO installed and configured, then try to start the log-in process with that. When the Ultima Online window comes up with Account name and Password, enter whatever you like there. It doesnt matter, just as long as you remember what it is for later log-ins.

Remember that you cannot log in directly with the Ultima Online software, you must first go through a carrier such as CounnectUO. I believe this may be why you are getting the "Cant connect, try again later message"

It sounds like a step may have been missed, which could by why you cannot connect. My first guess would be did you use the proper IP, and port from step 3. (This is just a guess) As for your account. At the log in screen when it says:
Account Name:
Account Password:
These are up to you to choose, however remember them because once you choose you need to always use the same ones.

thanks for the replies,I have completed step 3, and I am opening UO through connectuo. I tried writing in a user and password but it keeps saying I cannot connect...I did all the steps in the "Getting Started" area. :S

I just remembered, my brother reopened the patch, and it continued past 5.0.6, should I undo the patch and restart?

also..how do I undue the patch without completely restarting?

Check the box for Patch Client Encryption

and be sure that you are checking the box "Launch Razor with client" in options.

and if you have patched past 5.0.6.c, you will want to uninstall UO and reinstall it - then only patch to 5.0.6.c and stop. You cannot "back up" the patches, uninstalling and reinstalling is the only way. After patching to 5.0.6.c, don't open UO directly anymore, use ConnectUO.

thanks, You were right, I had written the wrong host/ip.
It works now, almost...it says it's verifying my account, but it's taking forever and wont pass that point/

ok I know I sound crazy, but how do I uninstall UO? I am scared I will uninstall the client too.

Mindina, just sent you a PM about encrypted client checkbox. Check the box for Patch Client Encryption in the settings in ConnectUO for WP.

To Uninstall, go to your add/remove programs control panel, look for Ultima Online: Mondain's Legacy and choose remove. When it is finished, reinstall again.

Yes, I think you were just missing the Patch Client Encryption box. I saw you trying to log in on this end, but if the client is encrypted, it wont let you in
