Connect UO

Hi,

My connect UO has stopped working today. Worked fine last night and now today it will load any servers.

I get an error page in the main window that reads:

Navigation to the page was cancelled.

I have checked in the options that browser template is set to default and i have tried re-installing connect uo completely.

Has anyone had this before? The server list seems to download ok when i start the program as well. I just can not use them!

I have managed to connect to the shard using Razor for now, but would like to get this sorted!

Mark, haven't seen this one before, and CUO is still working here for me.

In that same options page where you checked that the Template was default, make sure Host Address is localhost., and that the three boxes below that are checked.

Are you on Vista? If so, make sure CUO has access through the windows firewall.

And you completly removed CUO, re-downloaded and reinstalled?

Thanks for the reply.

I have completly deleted the CUO folder and unzipped the file again a few times now ( could not find an uninstaller)

The template is set to default and the host address is localhost.

My firewall is set up ok as that was a problem i was having to begin with, I have checked and the settings have not changed.

I am a bit stuck now as to what to try.

The only thing i can think of is that Microsoft have updated my browser (I am using IE8) and that has caused it to stop working.

IE8? You experimenting with Windows 7? That may well be the issue.

Just for snicks, try unchecking "Use Build-in Browser" in the CUO Options under the browser tab.

Hey Ghost,

I was using IE8 RC1 in vista. I have uninstalled it now and that didnt seem to be the problem.

I have tried not using the built in browser too and still no luck.

I have got the patch all working through Razor now so i will use that for the near future, thanks anyway

Could it be that your browser is rejecting the CUO cookies? Sounds like the CUO isn't connecting to the net at all

I'm using the latest IE in vista and seems to work. At work I have IE4 and its runs fine here on that.

Can you write out step by step what you do after you download CUO?

Also even though you removed the CUO folder and reinstalled it, the regestry key is still there. Could that be the reason? Try going to start-> type in "regedit"-> hkey_users-> (mine is under S-1-5-21*** the one before last folder)->software->classes->virtualstore->machine->software->connectuo

There's a versionid reg file there maybe if you remove it and reinstall cuo might do something Otherwise if you can connect to the server without CUO you're find, you don't really need it for day to day playing.

You say none of the firewall settings have changed, but have you tried disabling the firewall?
Have you tried hitting refresh?
Tried typing in google.com in the address bar to see if that loads(inside CUO)?

The results of those 3 would help clarify where the issue lies.
