Logging in from a vacation

Hi folks,
right now my family and me are on a vacation. The house where we are has a solid internet connection, enough to stream HD videos (Amazon). That works absolutely fine. Trying to connect to WP, though, I always receive an error message: "Couldn't connect to Ultima Online. Please try again in a few moments". It worked fine at home. The same can be said for every online game I tried (well, a total of 3). Is it possible that the router blocks some essential ports I need for the games to work? And if so, what might they be (so I can contact the admin)?

You need the new client. It's the bright green link at the top of the home page

There are a lot of "2016 Client" related posts on the front page. Check them out, especially if you use UOAM (which also comes with the new client). Get ready for a freshened interface, open Felluca with an entirely new map different than Trammel, complete with PvP -- but only consensual. You have to opt in to participate; otherwise no PvP action can affect you in any way.

Oh, almost forgot - the only port UO needs is 2593. It typically isn't blocked but you never know!

Hey Falkor, thanks for the quick reply. But I already have the new client, and it worked fine the day before I went to the vacation. Besides, all online games are blocked. It is probably the port that does the trick ... I will have a talk with the admin.

Also be sure that UO has been allowed through any wirewalls in place.

I took my laptop along, the one on which I always play UO. Worked fine at home, worked not so fine here at the East Sea. So, if just one thing changed (the router), probability is high that it is the router
