MOTD 9/22-23 Champ etiquette

I logged on today to a fresh MOTD. I like to know what's going on with the shard from time to time, so I review over the messages. Champ etiquette.. is it really needed? Do we really have players here that so consumed with greed, that they overlook the fundamentals of a massive multiplayer online game? Where did the days of knowing a friend you've met in game would have your back as you'd have theirs? They'd kindly give you their last gold piece or spend 1000 ingots to make you a really great weapon. Sure, the common response could be 'Who cares, it's just a game, or it's only pixels.' but is it really? When greed comes into play it can ruin the fun for many people. I can't speak for many players, but when I play a game like this, the one thing that I look forward to are the friendships I'll develop.

This should NOT be something that the admin or GM's has to fix. There isn't a script that will fix this. It all boils down to us, the players, to eliminate any of this unwanted behavior. I say we put our collective boot down on those that are so consumed with greed that they are not welcome here on this Family Friendly Shard. Let us players reestablish the days of Honor, Virtue and truly make this a Friendly Family shard.

Sincerely,

Elron Valandil

Thank you Elron for your input, as it is spot on. Just so everyone who reads this post is clear, this behavior is NOT rampant on the shard. It happened one time that I am aware of. I posted in MOTD so that staff's feelings on the issue of champ etiquette would be clear and published for all to read. This, I hope, will prevent something like this from happening in the future.

See you on the shard!
