It is a sword that can do tremendous damage - over 10,000 for the strongest warrior. However, it will shatter upon use.
Use it wisely! It will slay most creatures with a single blow. Using it against a foe with damage reflect can mean suicide, sometimes without damaging the enemy at all!
Note that the damage numbers are before your opponent's resistance is calculated, but either way this is one powerful weapon.
