Spammers, spammers, everywhere! Several players were contacted last night via PM by someone recruiting for his shard. The spammer has been banned, and the PM system has been changed. Players with "young" status will no longer be able to PM other players. They may still use [c to chat in public. Young status has also been changed and will now disappear when a player hits 3910 base skill total or 10 hours, whichever comes first.

We are now signed up for two additional game list sites (vote sites), XtremeTop100 and GameSitesTop100. Please remember to vote once on each button every day. This raises our vote count and gives the shard more visibility. And more visibility means we attract more players to WP. Staff cannot do this by themseleves, we need your help by voting.

As of this afternoon the shard has a new address. www.wpshard.com or just wpshard.com The old wp.dyndns.org will continue to work, but we will be transitioning everything over to the new address.

"Young" hours status timeout changed from 40 hours to 10 hours. Better message now when trying to use a higher powerscroll before using the lower ones.

As of this morning, when a new player logs into WP, everyone will get a message indicating that the player is new to WP. Please greet them if you are not afk. You might steer them towards the Lothar apprentice quest for starter gear.
The "young" player status has been changed so that it no longer disappears when a new player goes through the skill gate. It will now disappear when they hit 3910 base skill total or 40 hours, whichever comes first.

In an effort to combat the rise in spammers on the WP Forums, We have gone to an "admin approved" registration system. New forum registrants will have to provide their WP account name for verification. If you don't play on WP, or have not created your account and character here yet, then you cannot sign up for our forums and will not be activated.

The URLs in the forums should now be working and linkable (bookmarkable). Still working out some cosmetic fixes with the changeover.

As of this morning, the SafeTrash4Tokens bag will no longer accept items which are insured. However, if the insured item is within a container, and the container is trashed, it will trash the insured item. Thank you Styx for the suggestion.
Congrats to Yordor (1st Place) and Spacerx (2nd Place) in the Christmas house deco contest. Each received a Yard Wand for participating, and Yordor got some extra Twiggys for winning!
