yard lockdowns

A while back when discussing new items for the gold stone in another thread, Smellz said this...

Smellz wrote:Ok I got a new idea. I've been spending a lot of time with my yard wand lately and I came up with some ideas. How about something that allows you to lock stuff down within 10 spaces of your house (the max size your yard can be). It would of course count towards the maxium amount of lockdowns you can have in your house. Not sure if thats possible but just thought i would suggest it.

After owning a yard wand myself for a short while I can't agree more. I would give a LOT to be able to lockdown things in my yard. Since this idea was first mentioned in a different and unrelated thread, I thought I'd post it here and give credit to Smellz for the idea.

What do you guys think?

I would also like to see this...recently purchased a yard wand and wish to begin decoing realized that items I wished to use would not lock down in the area I had created. This would surely save on redesigning the house, tearing down vendors etc. each time I wanted to redo the yard for holidays etc. And the idea of adding it to the houses general lockdown/secure count would work as well. Please consider how this could be done, as the holidays are fast approaching and my fingers are itching...

Don't get too excited about this idea guys. While it sounds simple, it actually is very involved script-wise and involves rewrites of several systems in order to make it function properly. While it is an interesting idea, it is not high on the priority list.

Thanks for considering it Ghost. I definately understand how hard this would be to script now. At that time I made that post, I had no clue what work went into creating and scripting custom things. This is definately a big project.
