Maybe just maybe or even possibly someone from the shard could you know....maybe respond to the suggestions on the board. I would be happy with many responses such as: Not possible, Good idea we will think about it, Not possible but we like it, and even....Idiot....

Nearly all new post are read by staff in some way. Between reading post, looking in on players, and the on going development. The simple act of saying nice idea, maybe, or even I don't believe that will work sometimes goes overlooked.

That being said, some individuals also do not respond well if an idea is not taken as to be a great and fantastic thing that should be implemented right now. Even if for some reason the idea can't be done or would take some major overhaul of the base system.

Between the two above reasons comments are not always made. sometimes its a simple over site, sometimes its more to prevent a flare up over ideas that may be good or even great but either won't fit into the shard or the level of work needed to implement for a very small development team would take away from either things in progress or even just keeping everything stable.

But, I do like the idea of a response to the suggestions page.

I appreciate the care with which the response was made. Honestly it doesn't bother me personally if the suggestions get coded or not. I just found it strange that Ghost was on and I mentioned something in chat and he replied, "Yes I saw." So I just thought it'd be cool to see some kind of acknowledgement that a suggestion or post was read. So Thanks!

Shadow Temptress, I apologize for not meeting your expectations in regards to forum post responses.

Please keep in mind that the shard is not our full time real life (RL) job, but rather something we do for fun. RL responsibilities and obligations may keep us away from the shard at times, and force us to choose where we allocate our time (addressing issues on the shard directly, or responding to forum posts, for example) when we do have time for shard things. Rest assured both Falkor and I read each and every post made on the forums. Speaking for myself, weekdays are often so booked that I am forced to wait for the weekend to look a the shard website and read the posts. But they are read!

Once read, there is a process. We have to consider whether the idea would add value to the shard or not. If it would, is it within our abilities to code? How many other systems already in place on the shard would it affect? Will those systems also need modification? Are there any unintended consequences we aren't considering? If we do proceed with an idea, it needs to be coded, then tested on a test copy of the shard. All these things take a considerable investment of time just to figure out, determining if it is possible and practical.

We ask for your patience during the process.

I understand fully that you guys have other lives and are busy. I was just looking for a quick note when reading them just so anyone who posts has a clue that their post was read not so much writing a book or a serious commentary. That's why I was kind of joking around with the sample responses. Just a quick we will look into it was really all I was asking for so that we aren't left wondering if something was read or just flat out ignored.
