hello. I was thinking that we could add different buffs to weapons kinda like you have the +10 to lower reagent cost. I was think we could add something for lower mana cost and stuff like that to the donation center where ever you would deem appropriate. I know we have a lot in the spellcrafting now but not all of us are as good dungeon hunters and champ spawn slayers as other... and I'm marco illiterate lol. but its just food for thought.

Interesting idea. Would anyone else be interested in added donation scrolls for lower mana cost, etc? It yes, what scrolls would you like to see available?

Kinda cool. This is sort of already in place with spellcraft. Your can aadd new modifiers up to a max of 5 or re-roll an existing mod. For example, a 10 percent mana leech can be speller acted up to say 50. I personally changed the damage increase on chivs shades to 30 percent. So happy it didn't break!

yeah but as I said some of us don't have the skill to do some of the stuff to acquire the book and cdont have the time to sit and hope something magical fall into there hands. plus. I understand that there is a 5 but what if you wanna go past the 5 limit, by adding the one you pay for from the donation center you can then but you have to pay for that scroll with real money. I think that sounds fair. kinda like added pet slots, not everyone get them only people who pay for it. Its a incentive to donate, not saying people have to but it would be a nice option if people do want to they get that option too.

I see. Sorry I skimmed. There are a few pieces I'd like to have some extra bonuses on that are already at the 5 cap, so if there were +mod scrolls on the donation hall, I'd buy them. I'd hope they were token and not gold though. Better than both, cash donation shop for Ghost!

I've only enjoyed WP for a few months so far so I've avoided passing judgement on most things until I get more experience and I've only donated once so I'm not sure I have a place commenting in this thread. But it seems to me that this suggestion isn't like added pet slots at all. You're suggesting being able to donate for something that other players can earn through hard work and time invested in the game. A player can't get more than one additional pet slot in-game, and all they have to do is put a hat on their heads for it. Donating is the only way to get more pet slots than that.
Within reason, I'm all for it. Donating for LRC didn't strike me as a big deal because it's not a game-breaker, it's a convenience, and players with top-end gear don't even need this. I feel the same way about LMC. Donating for stat bonuses, RPD, SDI, DCI/HCI, or regens strikes me as saying 'Let me skip right to the end game' though, and I wouldn't be in support of that. I don't think that ever does either players or servers any good. Saying you don't have time for the grind isn't a great justification, and what good is awesome gear if you won't have time to use it anyway? On the other side of that, if a player really can't handle or figure out how to do the dungeon bosses, I know there are a handful of good players who'd help them through it.

Great points Ingwe. I also don't think being able to simply buy your way through content isnt necessarily a good thing for the server, but I do think Ghost and the other admins should have tasty items available for donations to reward how much they put into the shard. It's a balance right?
You make a great point about the difference between pet slots (high end expensive donator item) and a plus X mod scroll. Dungeon bosses can all be defeated in star hunter gear and star hunter is killable in starter gear, so its not like a huge barrier to entry for the spellcrafting content. Hythloth boss is the real gear check, and is easily soloed with a few choice items, but a team can down him very fast if he cant be soloed. I think its up to Ghost to decide if he wants items obtainable through regular gameplay in the donator hall. PS already are, but they seem a different animal to me anyways.
We have to be careful about weapon and armor mods too because capping most or all of them is the min/max of endgame that takes a very long time to do. Ive been trying for a year to get spell dmg spellcraft high on my melee set. Its a big decision for the admins i believe.

I do tend to agree with you guys in the fact it does kinda make it so people can just buy there way up. as for that though you make it so that only certain thing can be make to add to certain items. yes I do deny that it is hard and time consuming to add these changes but in the end I find that with high end gear you would limit what you can put on it. and lower end get should only be able to set to say a max of 7-10 bonuses say if you feel like making gear from scratch. you don't have to worry about the 5 max limit. or say have the ability to raise the resistances past certain lvls, ( yes I know spellcrafting come into play) but this could be a double edge sword as you add bonuses to the item it limits what else you are aloud to add to the item. say you want a set of armor with sdi, lrc, lmc, you can do any resist mods or and kinda adding of int, or any add med +10 or anything like that. I just think being able to adjust it to your liking to a certain extent. I will add more to this as I think of it but this is just like a basic idea.
(edit) Say you find an item that has a decent couple of stats that you would like to build around. ( yet again I know spellcrafting) but that isn't what I mean. I get that, I mean past the main base statuses. would it be nice to say you could make a earring set or ring with past five stats you have a mage ring pretty much but you don't have a couple of things that would set it over the top. you could turn around and give it thoughs couple of stats and make it really good.

I guess my one point to make before complimenting something awesome in your post is that it is possible to max every mod on one set of gear already (except spell dmg which does not cap).
When you said +10 med my mouth drooled. Not for med but for the potential to add +skill bonuses to gear. This is not in spellcrafting and would be huge for any player, new and old. I would pay more than a gold twiggy for 1 point of parry. The eventual power of this would need to be assessed but that's really enticing.
