SpellCraft book exchange

Ghost/Falcor,
I like having my spellcraft book bind to me.. I don't need multiple copies bound to me. To me it seems a little unfair that I kill the boss that drops it, win the random trigger to get the 'Big prize' from the boss and end up with a worthless piece of game art that can only be used to decorate my castle. I'm not THAT into deco, you've seen my humble abode and know I speak the truth about my décor!

How's about a exchange for these extra bound books, I used to sell them or give them away. With that circumvented with the auto bind feature, it would seem to me that without offering an exchange in kind that those of us with one book already are getting shorted a bit. How bout a box that I drop a book in and get 500k tokens? That would be cool!

Regards,
Kaw....

There are certain things in the game that staff feels players should earn for themselves. Spellcraft books are one of those things (If they buy or are given a book, they miss out on much gameplay and sense of accomplishment when they do achieve a book), and thus the change so that they bond to their owners. This is the same rational behind the other recent gear bonding changes (Guardian Spellbook, Invisibility Cloak, etc)

We also do not want to set up a situation where those same books are being farmed for another reward. You can trash the extra books for tokens, but other than that, I don't think we'll be giving another reward for extras.

Upon further reflection, how about a turn in that would give you a random recipe for the spellcrafting book?
