I was considering the now bind on touch "Book of SpellCrafts" and the uselessness of this prized treasure when you have already secured a book that holds all your crafts. The only practical thing that I've found to do with them is to decorate my floor with them using them as tiles.
What about setting up an exchange less complicated than the scroll exchange that would take the deposit of a 'Book of SpellCrafts' in exchange for a number of charges for the book that a player uses. The first thought that I had was perhaps 10 gems for each book turned in.
This would help to eliminate excess books laying around and provide a source for charges and a value for all those secondary books that we gather over time, providing a usable reward in exchange for the one that just doesn't amount to much after you have acquired your first one.
I'd be all over it!
