Ogranic Material Base pricing change

Organic Material is a commodity that drops on Trolls, Ettins, and Earth Elementals (as well as some other low spawning mobs as well). I have been buying them regularly for 50 gold each. But have seen a considerable reduction in the number available over the past several weeks despite a lot of new folks joining the shard.

So I talked about this with some guild mates on line this morning and have decide that it is time for me to raise my base pricing level for Organic Material.

Here forward till further notice I will pay 75g per. Hopefully this bolsters supply a bit more! Note: Other players may pay more or less. That is their decision. I simply would like to see greater supply and this is my way of prompting that.

I test killed 10 Ettins just to see what I got for Organic Material drops. They dropped 13+23+15+24+19+24+17+14+20+17=186 for an average of 18.6 organic material per. So what this translates into is that each ettin is worth roughly 1,395 gold in organics alone not to mention the gold and tokens retrieved by killing them and claiming their bodies. So if a new player wants to place an 18x18 custom house the can secure the cold for it by harvesting less than 130 Ettins.

Some farming tips for new players to help get the organics flowing.

Spots:
Despise Lvl 2 (ettins/earth eles) and Shame Lvl 1 (earth eles)

Gear:
I found the elemental slayer Titans Axe to be great at farming organics. It can be purchased at the donator shop for gold. It also has whirlwind so you can aoe them down.

Scripts:
EASYUO script Parrssmartlooter
This script lets you set to loot the bodies automatically, and loot only organics if you desire. It is a massive time saver.

Method:
Pick up a runebook and mark runes in Despise and Shame where the highest concentrations of humanoid monsters are. Should end up being about 15 - 17 locations across both dungeons. Recall to one, clear the area, let the looter pick up the organics, recall to next, repeat.... You can clear both areas in about 5 minutes or less depending on gear. Spawn usually resets in less than ten mins from kill time.

about 700-900 organics per clear. only thing slowing you down is enemy respawn.
