The person who introduced me to UO and ran the only other shard i've played also made some really cool graphics that you can replace your current paper doll, status bar, container graphics and others with, and also another file that gives you some awesome new graphics for the spell icons.
These files are NOT part of the default shard files and not necessary to play on this shard at all, they are just something that som1 put together from some sites that have offered them as free downloads.
***NOTE***
PLEASEEEEEEEEE be aware this is not something provided by this shard and therefore not something the staff will be troubleshooting for you if you have problems. Should you have any difficulties getting them installed or anything else please contact vindiacator in game and i will try very hard to help you figure out what is wrong or help you get it installed.
Below you will find instructions for how to apply these optional patch files. I walk through backing up your originals and if you don't want to bother with that part I also have provided a copy of the original files for download too so that you can freely try these graphics, and if you don't like them you can put the originals back in.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do
For those of you that are familiar with changing files around and installing patches, backup your original:
gumpart.mul
gumpidx.mul
and then download the files below and install them.

Backing up Originals:
1. Go to your UO folder where the game is installed. This is dependent on your version of the game but is most likely: c:\program files\EA GAMES\ultima online\gameversionhere
Once you're in the folder where the game is installed, make a new folder in there called Original Files (or whatever you want to name it so that you know that the original UO files are backed up there).
To make a new folder, right click anywhere in a blank area of that window (white area no writing anywhere) and you'll get a menu. On the menu usually near the bottom you'll see a choice for "New" and when you mouse over that a new menu pops up which you will find the choice at the top for "Folder". Click that choice and you'll find a "New Folder" created in your ultima online folder. To rename it just type a new name while it's still highlighted and flashing.
If you accidentally click the screen and the box is no longer flashing just click the file once so that the text
of the name "New Folder" highlights and hit delete to erase the name. Then type the name you want your new folder to be.
2. Once you have your backup folder made, look in the ultima online folder for the 2 files named:
gumpidx.mul
gumpart.mul
If you don't see the .mul it's ok, just do gumpart and gumpidx as they are the only 2 files with those names.
Copy and Paste these 2 files into the backup folder you created, (see below for copy paste info) you have now backed them up for future reference. This is for 2 reasons, 1 it will allow you to put them back if you don't want to use these graphics after you've tried them, and 2 it will allow you to replace them if you go to other shards that maybe have their own custom graphics that you want to use. For whatever reason, this saves your original files so you don't have to reinstall the game just to get your old graphics back
To copy and paste the files just click the file once to highlight it, right click over that highlighted file and on the menu that pops up choose Copy. Then go to the backup folder you created, double click the folder to go into it and once inside that folder right click on the window anywhere that's open, choose paste on the menu and you should now see a copy of that file there.
Do the same for the other file so that you have both of them safely backed up. Ctrl + C will copy and Ctrl + V will paste also if you are comfy with keyboard shortcuts.
Installation of the new Graphics files:
1. Download the files below (make sure you remember where you put them after you have them downloaded, your desktop is usually an easy place to find them if you are not sure where else to put them.
Elven_Patcher.exe Spells_Icons_Patcher.exe
2. Close Ultima Online before you start.
3. Double click each of the files one at a time. When it opens it will look for your Ultima Online directory
automatically and unless that address doesn't look right it should be all set to go. Hit the 'Start' button and let it patch, it's quite quick and painless. Do the same for the second file and once done you're all set.
Log into UO and enjoy the new look!
