Quentin's 1st week was great

Thanks to all who helped and advised. I left Catskills about 10 yrs ago IIRC. Since then I played for maybe 2 months, around 2005 I would guess, on an RP shard named Shadowcove. UO was and still is the very best MMORPG that every was. I think you must all know the reasons so I won't go into that. Needless to say it was hard to stay away and I missed it.

I never was a great or dedicated hunter or PvM player but I have done some and I enjoy coming along to support others (heals, etc.). What I am primarily is a gatherer/crafter so I'm not sure where I fit in here. The plan for now is to max out survival as much as is reasonable for a non-combatant then build on Ore, Lumber and Alchemy Materials... if these are feasable... getting a boat and house along the way when I can. So much of the game is new to me (for starters crafting seems so much easier) that it will take a while to learn what I need to know.

What I really would like to know is this... is there anything that is actually in demand, in our WP economy, that can be made by a crafter such as Quentin is or will be? If not I will just play my own way through it as that is not a necessity for me, just something I like to do. I would like to eventually join a guild but want to find my own style here first and then find a guild I fit into.

Sorry for the long post, I tend to do that and apologize in advance... so that's my intro and I do look forward to some adventures with many of you. Thanks for reading.

Quentin, Welcome to the Pines!

Crafters (non-fighters) do have challenges here, but it can be done. Among the items usually in demand are full spell books, rune books, LRC armor sets, and all the storage keys. Storage keys are especially hard to make, and thus sell for a premium. Also, newer players are always looking for bettter weapons and armor than the apprentice quest provides, so there is opportunity there too. :D

My OSI shard was Chesapeake, but I played on Shadowcove around the time you did... I wonder if we met :)
