I am sort of curious as to why making stair cases that are in the link are impossible here. :/

I am not sure why you can't make them that way here, but it is possible to make the spiral staircases by donating for a yard wand. If you ask nicely, Ghost might let you test one out before donating so you can see exactly what it does.

If you followed all the intructions there on that site I dont see why it wont work here. WP is a custom shard though so the scripting in that area may have been changed. Only other way I know of is with the yard wand.

I believe the issue lies with the client itself. I've never gotten those instructions to work anywhere.
Much older clients should allow you to do it, but I've yet to test this.

One crazy idea in my head is to keep a separate UO install of a really really older client version to make the stairs and the have a regular 5.0.6c install for playing.

Although, the yard wand is really really nice.
