Hello, I have been working on crafting skills and have a couple of questions. I have 100 mining now but when I try and configure my mining tool to get both ore and stone I get a message that I need either more training or more skill. Can you please tell me where or what I need to do for that? Second, I've also been working on tinkering and I see a list of "custom" items. There are several sets of keys. Can you tell me what those keys are for? Just curious... And lastly, I'm wondering how to train up on lockpicking. I've been going through Despise and there are a lot of locked chests there. I'm not able to lock pick them with 70 skill but neither do I get any skill for failing.

To be able to mine stone, you need to speak to the gargoyles in Gargoyle City and get the Stoneworking book.

The keys you are seeing in the custom tinker area hold objects of that type with 0 weight. For example, wood keys hold all the types wood we have on WP.



You can add to the keys, or pull out items from them, or even make Commodity Deeds from certain items. (useful for selling items in bulk on your vendors)

There is also a Master Key donation item which can hold all of the individual keys.

I will leave the lock picking question for someone else to answer.

After reading the bit about macros being legit on this server, I feel I can elaborate...

Have a proficient carpenter make Container-->Wooden Box.

You can then set up a macro to lock the box, then pick the lock, Loop. I did this with two boxes, I have not tried it using just one. Either way, it's the same concept.

As your lockpicking skill gains, you'll need to use Wooden Boxes made by GM Carpenters. Rinse and repeat the process above, this should get you to 95.0 lockpicking.

Your tinkering skill directly affects how much you can gain off player made boxes. Generally there is a point that you will stop gaining on them. Then the only way I know to gain further is high level treasure chest, typically the ones found with high level treasure maps

As was previously stated you can gain up to 95 on the boxs but at 95 you can not pick all locks. Some require higher lock picking skills. As Devir stated, and I believe it to be true, you can gain higher by doing cleverly drawn treasure maps.

This is an admendment to my prvious post. You can gain with expertly drawn maps after 95. Once I figure out how high i will repost.
