so I got a new laptop and downloaded the client and razor but razor gives me an error msg. HELP lol

Whats the error message? And have you followed all the steps in getting started to the letter?

its something with directory. says I might have to input manually but I don't know how. I wrote the message down at home but I'm gone till tomorrow

I use razor and I downloaded steam and it says the same thing. select a uo directory

it is letting me sign in on regular client for now.

Sounds like you aren't pointing razor to the new WP install data directory (by default c:\UOWP) instead of having it autodetect.
