Hey all. Was wondering how anyone goes about taming aggresive pets. I would like to tame some Dire Wolves starting out, but can not keep from killing them before I have them tamed. Was wondering how you go about this level as well as higher level pets like Dragons with out dying? Thank you!

I do it like this....

Use peacemaking on the mob to cause it to stop in it's tracks.
Then I tap the [tab] key twice. The tab key switches you from war mode to peace quickly
and has the side affect of preventing you from auto attacking the mob.

Some mobs need to be subdued to tame them. This means you have to beat them within an inch(or a pixel, ) of their life before you can tame them. When the mob is close to death, remove your weapon for a few more hits if you need to, then use the double [tab] trick to get your character to stop attacking.

Thats a big help thank you. I knew Tab toggled between war and peace, but I didnt know that is turned off auto attack. I will give this a shot. Thank you! Also, for new players, I am putting some of the lower level pets I tame (grizzly bears and such) into the doantation box in Luna.

OK, so I have been working on my taming skills, and have hit a snag. I can not train peacmaking past 85.0 in the training area. Is that the max in the training area, or am I doing something wrong?

Klako, I was able to take my peacemaking all the way to 100 in the training area by selecting peacemaking and targeting myself. This also trained my musicmanship at the same time. Set up a Razor macro and this goes rather quickly.

Thanks Tigger. My music skill is increasing, my Peacemaking has just stoped. I was using the beattles, I will try using myself. Also, were you using the training area provided harp?

Update. Thanks Tigger, that worked. I also switched up from the provided harp.
