Can Someone Explain?

Ok, so I have only been doing the UO thing for about 2 months or so. I started on a different shard and about a month ago migrated to this one. WP is (in my opinion) much better and I am really enjoying my experience. However, in the past few days there have been some "weird" things occurring. For instance I put a flag on the front of my house and it is now gone. I bought 2 statues to put next to my front door. One is there but the other one has vanished. Last night I died while hunting in Fire. First question about Fire is...why can you not exit the same way you enter? If you die (like I did) there is nothing marked to show you an exit to rez. I did find an exit and ran to the nearest town. I found a healer and rezed tried to use sacred journey but it didn't work. I was told that I did not have that spell. Nayr was with me and he was able to use it. So I found a portal and went to Brit to summons my corps. It said that I was at -5 minutes to summons my corps. I was able to summons but when it arrived it didn't show on the ground.
Again, I am only a couple months into the UO experience so this may all be easily explained by a vet.

Ok, the flag and statue were most likely not locked down. Always hover your mouse over the items after you lock down to make sure it actually took. If that's not the case and the house is customizable the items may be beneath your steps. Remove the steps from the house and commit. Hopefully the items will appear.

For fire, I'm not quite sure why you can't exit the way you came in. Staff may have to answer that one as I don't recall that being the case on other worlds.

The sacred journey spell, will only work if you have the chivalry book in your pack. The spell icon itself is not enough. If you had the book in your pack than I can't explain it other than maybe not having enough tithing points.

Your corpse should have appeared. Sometimes it looks like you and sometimes like a skeleton. If you happen to be standing on a low spot it's possible that the corpse could have spawned just beneath the ground in front of you. Holding "Ctrl+Shift" will reveal such things.



I realize you may be aware of some or all of this, but I don't know where you're at so I figured I'd cover all the bases.

Thanks for the info. I did not have my Chivalry book with me so that would explain that. As foe the lock down, I have been bit by that before and I double check every time. The funny part is that the 2 objects I noticed had been there for a couple of weeks.
Again, I am new so any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Did you try removing the front steps of your house?

I too have been biten recently.

I used an interior decorator to move a Helm of the Harrower up a few notches, 36 hours later it poofed. It was locked down otherwise ye can't use the decorator on an item.

Maybe Storms pets are eating em....hmmm
