I can not believe the whining going on here!!! I was a little surprised that the old cloak wasn't grandfathered in but after thinking about it for a little bit ( 4-5 seconds ) it totally made sense. Ghost and staff has introduced many nifty things into WP but at times some ideas let things go too far. This was one.

Be thankful that the folks running this shard are willing to step out and try things like this. They are. Better yet when the are forced to make adjustments to correct it the go to great lengths not to over correct. They could have done something like put a use timer on the cloak that only allowed it to be used once every 10 minutes, then where would you be? No they moderated it. Put a fairly easy to obtain consumable on it. a couple of applications and it's fully charged. To me it's made me rethink my game play and how I approach certain things. I hasn't changed anything all that significantly.

What I've seen in this thread from players is nothing but petty pouting. This is a 'free shard' and your investment is your time and optionally some donations if you wish to support the shard financially. Ghost and staff owe you nothing, on the other hand each of us owe them a great deal and first and foremost is the respect and latitude to allow them to operate the shard without having to hear flack from people that have no skin in the game (literally) about how they should and shouldn't be running things. It is their call. I for one believe that they have done and continue to do a stellar job and support their efforts; cloak included.

Some said that the Harry's Potters Cloak was the best thing in WP's. No it is not.. It is the players themselves.

The invisibility cloak is (was) a way to short circuit a lot of mechanics. Self cast invisibility will have to suffice for escapes now.

I believe every dungeon boss will still be soloable but Hythloth, Ice and potentially Despise will be a bit tougher. Peerless will likely require grouping again (good thing). All champs remain soloable without invisibility.

So I see it as a buff to the hardest content in the game making it require parties. Which means more playing with friends. So I can't complain.

Ok so stating how one feels about something is petty pouting as stated above? Not everyone is going to like some changes made and I feel they should be entitled to say so. After that it is their choice to continue playing on WP or not. I've played on shards where there was no invis cloak and i did just fine without it. ( Would be more deaths but Oh well it's part of the game). Yes it is nice to have, but i think my game play would be the same without it. As for the change having to do with the shards economy, I still don't get that, So many other things besides this cloak effect the economy.

i think it would be best if we dispensed with emotionally charged statements and kept this analytical and dispassionate...this is a fun happy place and any negativity regardless of source will only undermine this "society"...as stated this is a free shard...and a wholly volunteer effort on all sides...relax and breathe...

I personally think that providing a way to recharge the cloak in itself is going above and beyond to cater to the old mechanic. I mean.. 50 charges? That's enough to do a ton of content. And if you stock up on gems, it's like nothing has changed. If this were Trion or Blizzard or any other high profile developer, they would completely squash it as an exploit. But we are lucky to have Ghost and Falkor who care about how we feel and not only didn't delete the item altogether, but provided a window to play exactly the same way we used to with a small amount of farming. PLUS provided another item that's actually worth something, arcane gems.
