Ok,

What happened to the drop rate, and how can we get it back to what it was?

This is a most important issue with the shard because we have a need for them. Before the drop rate was up to 25 per on earth elementals in shame. Now the top drop rate is 15 with the low rate of 7. this is not acceptable for players who are at the level of making a bio and with this rate, it will take more time than it is worth to attempt. with the cost of failures to create a dna sample and to create bottles....... its just impossible. please i ask you to set the drop rate back to what it was, just so we can attempt to fulfill this task. I am sure many players agree the drop rate is way too low.

I agree with you, Brogan.
I have noticed that organics are much more difficult to farm nowadays, even with the new orcs carrying some of them ("some"..., not that much either).
Most of the time, ettins & earth elems were carrying between 20 and 25 of them, but only drop around 10 or 12 now.
I'm not talking for myself, as I have made more than enough biopets before (and I take care of them, so...), but I guess this job will now be much longer than it was.
And you are right, with the great probability of breaking many vials when trying to sample DNAs, even with animal lore & taming clothes and gear (I used to have between 150 and 160 for each of these 2 skills when I was sampling DNAs, and I broke many vials all the same), I guess it will be a real pain to make biopets if the drop rate doesn't increase.

Maybe being in a guild with most of its members already having their pets could help a little.
What would they do with the organics they find ?...


Post-Scriptum : Many things have changed at the same time the drop rate went down.
Some creatures seem to spawn veeeeeeery slowly now, especially the ones that already spawned slowly before.
Has anyone seen a steelsteed in Khaldun these last months ?...

The drop rate has been down, I used to get around 25 or 20 each kill too. Might it be if players are making bios too fast and easy to make them put more work in it? Or so players don't start to make them over and over and start selling them like it is nothing? Just a guess, but less organics has been a pain. Most of the time now I've been getting about 10 a kill, which makes it near impossiable to make another bio.

I tried fighting the new orcs a few nights ago and ended up with over 1500 organics after maybe 20-30 minutes. That doesn't seem too bad.

The drop rate on organics is not broken. It might not be what you wish it to be, but it isn't broken

In response to Neidling's comment about the steel steeds, that spawn has not changed in about a year. As I've mentioned in the past, other things also spawn on that spawner, and must be cleared out before something else (possible a Steel), can spawn.

I think its been a few months since i've seen a steel steed and i kill the other monsters and still no steeds?? Also no crustys in few months?

Crusties and Steels still spawn. i have posted about this before. Both can have other things spawn in their place, and both have a long timer. Crusties also have a larger spawn range than they used to have. They were meant to be rare, not something you could go to spot X and wait for it to pop up every X minutes.

There are other people looking for both things which could help explain why you have not seen either.

Ok i understand they are rare but to go months without seeing either, that's a bit too rare...a month maybe but its been Very long time, and i do kill others monsters around and search further distance.

I see crusty's and the steel not often but, regularly. The time frame is usually weeks in between. Just wanted peeps to know they still spawn but, at a much slower rate. Now if you want to speak of the golden twig cant remember the last time i saw one of those. They at least are available for sale.

One way of getting golden twiggy is voting.. That's all I know..
