So i turned in this taming BOD and recieved a black brush which turned out to be a bio engineer's tool. When i dclick the tool it says i need to learn that skill. Does anyone know where to go and learn this skill? I tried the donation hall and found no help there.

Hello Snarf, I have been working on a list for taming bods simalar to the one I did for the other 2 crafting bods. However Real Life has been kind of hectic and as most have noticed I've not been able to be on much. I do have an answer to your question on the bio tool. There is a Bio-Engineers book, much like the book for sand mining. You have to get and then read that book to use the tool. The only way I've found to get the book is from taming bods. I believe it takes a large bod of 3 animals 20 count each to get the book (I've gotten the book only once and am still testing).

Also Vapress bio tool has a random chance for alot of the small 10 and 15 bods. I believe the taming bods work off the skill level that it takes to tame the creatures on the bods. My test so far seem to indicate that bods that have 10 or 15 count and take about 25 taming skill and less to tame give that random chance.

I would further this testing and give a complete list on the forums but right now alot of my in game time has been spent on marking runes. I have not been able to go out and tame as much as I would like to.

ehm, if you can excuse a newbie question: what is a Bio-Engineers tool?

Bio Engineers tool is used to creat custom pets. It is a bit complex but in a nutshell. You take and make vials, you then take the vials and go out and sample other creatures/animals for DNA. After collecting the DNA it can be combined to make a new pet. It takes alot of work, and wether or not it is worth the effort is still up to debate. I've made a few but it took alot of work. Vials break, sampling fail. I'm sure that if someone found the right combination perhaps a worthy pet could be made this way.
