The item morph deed is meant to be used to change the look of armor only and it must be changed to items on the same layer only. Weapons cannot be changed do to complications with changing for instance a swordsmanship to fencing or fencing to macing etc. So this item may only be used on armor.

Ok I have received many questions on the Item Morph deed and weapons.

On such question asked why couldn’t an item morph deed be used on a weapon of same weapon class such a swords to swords one example is the Crusader’s Rapier to say a lance.

While changing the graphic of the Rapier to the lance isn’t the actual problem. The real reason for this issue is the fact that the Crusader’s Rapier primary abilities and secondary abilities are Double strike and Armor ignore. Now if you look at the lance its abilities are Dismount and Concussion Blow. The Crusader’s Rapier Abilities are coded into the script, there for when you morph the rapier into anything else the abilities do not match up, this confuses the system and effectively breaks the Abilities. So, the Crusaders Rapier would in fact be changed into something else but it would be broken.

Another quick question about the item morph deeds... If you use it on a piece of plate armor, and change it to look like a piece of leather armor... can you then meditate in the new armor?

Always wondered that, but I haven't been brave enough to test it =D

Item Morph deed basicaly changes the graphical look, not the stats or whether you can meditate or not remains the same as it was.

IIRC yes, because the item retains the exact properties of the original. In theory you could morph a shield into a cape and it'd still use the shield slot. You could morph every item of armor you have into a cape and run around looking almost naked with full armor. (Except the deed specifically is to change it to an item of the same slot, so you can't here.)

It only changes the graphic.
