The changes in the loot drops has been enough for me to walk away. I enjoyed the time spent here and the people here are nothing less then great. It's like I found something that was working for me and boom it changed.

Take care, have fun,
Marc

Marc, you are by all means welcome to come and go as you please. It was nice having you with us. For all those reading this, you can read what caused this here Gold Economy Tweaks

I went back and checked and you've been here for eight RL days, so may be unfamiliar with how we operate. We haven't survived for six years by making rash decisions or by trying to alienate players. As you've mentioned, the people you met on the shard were great and I'd ask that you have a bit of patience with the shard staff and see how the tweaks work themselves out.

Any shard that doesn't pay attention to its economy is doomed. Balance is more than gear and mobs - it's money too. Uncontrolled inflation makes it hard for new players to get started. It makes vendors useless and all but the most valuable items become disposable. Ever wonder why some shards have 4-5 forms of currency? Many times it's because as each became worthless a new one was added, without ever addressing the underlying issue.

Getting rich is still easy to do in WP. Focus your initial efforts on buying a checkbook and soon your hunting trips can go on indefinitely, without need for trips to a bank to drop off gold. Like crafting? Ore and wood sell great in bulk. Organics sell out in seconds in any quantity you can muster.

Like a ship, we make constant adjustments to the shard's course to keep it moving in the right direction. We try not to turn too far in one direction or another, keeping the ride smooth for everyone on board.

Hey, give it a couple days and see if it is as bad as you think it will be. Some times what sounds like a major change is not so much. I hate to see you go on what may be a knee jerk reaction. If you do decide to leave I enjoyed chatting with you.

Good luck
Ash

I'm hanging out. I think am going to be OK. Though to be honest change has ALWAYS been hard for me. Amazing I've been at the same job for 20 years :)
