I will be gone for over a week due to modem failure

Well early yesterday morning, my modem malfunctioned for some reason. since I am on a discounted plan, I will have to wait for a tech to come out, take a look at the line and replace my modem although I know that is what it is. Now get this the higher level department guy tried to tell me that it was my computer, it looks like it has issues, and or a virus which I know for a fact that does not. He tried to haggle his way into charging me $79 one time fee or a $14 something a month payments for them to come out here and "fix" it. How stupid does he think I am really? Just because I'm on a discount plan that I am computer, and tech, illiterate? Oh well I will try to stop in like i did before when I had to rely on the wifi (btw they are also using comcast) and its "my" computer that is causing the connectivity issues. yeah right. well enough of me venting. see you all soon!
