Where I'm at

Hey Shard. It's been a pretty wild last 6-7 months since I started playing on WP. I feel like I'm very close to reaching my Zenith here. I read similar posts to where mine is going earlier and Ghost listed a few things that player may not have accomplished. So here's where I'm at.

I'm able to solo everything, all champs, harrower, Dark Rose Lord, Doom, Chuck Norris etc. I've solo'd every peerless without using pets and completed 4/5 of the peerless armor sets. I've farmed and spent over 10,000,000 tokens and have the high end rewards. I have enough gold to keep my townhouse active for a decade, so I have no drive to open a shop or sell some items. My spellcraft book has all the crafts I would use and after 1000+ dungeon boss kills, I think I'm done with that RNG. I'm two pieces from completing the dark rose lord set which is probably one of the hardest things a person can do in WP.

I started "Empire" as a way to infuse more life into my gametime, and it's been pretty great and I've had a lot of response. However, (Merchantmace is laughing in his grave right now) I don't know what else is left for me. I login now to go kill Dark Rose Lord and have the deed crumble  then logout until respawn.

My point is, I love the community and I love the game.. WP is by far the best free shard in existence. I've never had a more content rich 7 months straight of gameplay in any other game. But now I understand why the culture of this shard used to be to preserve other's game experience and have them find the content themselves.. because this journey is far more important than the end or the start. I'll see you guys around, but probably not very much for a bit. Take Care!

Preserving gameplay experience for all is still a guiding tenant of the shard :) That is one reason why certain items (spellcrafting books and Invisibility cloaks, for example) have recently been changed to bond to their owners. Unfortunately, in the beginning stages of gameplay, it is often difficult to get players to understand or see that shortcutting the content is detrimental in the long run. We do what we can to preserve content for them, and like you Exodus, eventually many come to see the wisdom in doing that.

We have enjoyed having you adventure in the Pines with us, and hope that your absences are not too long!

Safe journeys,

Thanks Ghost. I just burned myself out is all. I will of course still be around. After all... what other game has added new tameables, tons of new quests, new items, and a ton of hotfixes in 6 months? Nothing compares!
