Hello,

I am trying to get on your server and wondering if there is a reason I cant get past Verifying account or if I installed wrong..

Did you check out the Getting Started section of the forum? This gives a detailed way of what to install, what to edit to log onto the shard. I have found that if I jump the gun and type in my password while Razor is starting up, I get stuck in the Verifying account screen as well. From there i have to exit out, and let Razor fully start up then enter in my password.

My guess is that you may not have the required client.

I did go by the Getting Started section.. I have Razor installed as well.. But I patched the UO client completely before I found this server.. so I am thinking that is possibly the issue??

Also to create an account do I just pick an account name at password at first log in to the server?

Naltika, you only want to patch the UO client to 5.0.6.c and not past that. If you are patched into the 6.0 series you will not be able to connect to WP. If you have already patched to this level, you will need to uninstall UO and reinstall it. Then only patch to 5.0.6.c.

Yes, to create your account, choose any account name and password at the first log in. Then it will take you to character creation.

When first creating a character, you will be presented with the default UO selections for professions. Pick whichever you like. Then you will name and color your character.

After that, you will be placed in the Whispering Pines starter area where you will have a chance to read our Agreement Board and Agree or Disagree.

If you agree, you will be moved to the Class Gate area where you will choose one of four "Quick Start" classes [Mage, Warrior, Ranger/Tamer or Crafter]. All your skills will be set to 70, and 6 skills key to your class will be set to 100. Your stats will also be adjusted for your class. You may read the light blue books located in that area to find out which skills and stats will be changed for each class.

Choose carefully, as once you go through a Class Gate, you will be placed at Britain Bank to begin your adventure. DO NOT go through a gate until you are ready! You may only go through one gate. We will no longer honor "Do Over" requests because you chose the wrong class or went through the wrong gate.

Once in-game, you may type [c and your text to chat in public. For example: [c Hello Whispering Pines!

Naltika, following step 3 for ConnectUO would be good too as it allows you to get the WP shard patch.

Thank you for all the help.. I will have to unistall and try again..

I am not having any luck with this..

I have Uo redownloaded and patched to 5.0.5, Have razor installed, and uoconnect.. I get Uo connect set up to the getting started list and I am still getting stuck at the Verifying account screen..

Any ideas??

Naltika, sorry to hear you are still having problems. My suggestion is to check your settings in ConnectUO.

Start ConnectUO
Go to Tools up top and click Options
Click the Client/Razor tab
ConnectUO should have detected your UO installation, if not, browse for it
ConnectUO should have detected your Razor installation (if installed), if not, browse for it
Check the box Launch Razor with client (if you installed Razor).

Then check the settings you entered for WP.

Server Name: Whispering Pines
Description: Whispering Pines Family Shard
Patch URL: http://wpshard.com/images/WP-Patches/WPPatchlist.txt <--- copy/paste this
Update URL: --Leave this blank--
Host/IP: wpshard.com
Port: 2593
Check the box for Patch Client Encryption <--- This is CRITICAL and may be the reason you cant log in.
then hit EDIT to close this window.
Now click Play next to WP.
