I Need Home Deco Advice!

Before I spend the next few months trying out every item in the game to see what works best, I figured I'd ask the resident WP deco experts. Does anyone have an idea of what might work to create the appearance of an overhead hood for a forge? I have a field stone house, dark grey stone floors, and I already have a chimney and cap built. Haven't placed the forges yet because I don't want to accidentally delete them during house customization. Thanks in advance for any help

If anything that you have placed seems to have disappeared during customization, check the house's moving crate (you'll find it by double clicking the house sign, then select "Relocate Moving Crate" <-- option wil be available if there is something in the crate). When customizing, if the system cannot account for a placed item, it moves it to the Moving Crate.
