Need help getting to a fishing location

I was lucky and got a ancient SOS and the ordinates are at 149*19'N,149*41E. Im not able to go further north then 142*44'N. So my quest is how do I go further north? Do I need to go south to get north? Any help would be great full.

Yep, you need to go south to get north :D

Head southeast from Serpent's Hold and you'll be able to reach the spot.
